Quick guide

What can Anagram Solver help you do?

Free anagram solver. Enter any word or set of letters to find all valid English anagrams. Perfect for puzzles, brain teasers, and word games. 172,000+ words.

Best for

Find other English words using exactly the same letters as an input such as LISTEN. The default search uses every letter and excludes the original word. An optional shorter-word mode broadens the search, but neither mode solves multiword phrase anagrams or provides definitions.

How to use it

Enter up to 15 characters and search or press Enter. Input is lowercased and stripped to a-z; question marks are removed, not treated as blanks. Include shorter words starts unchecked. Enable it and search again to admit words of at least two letters.

How to read the result

Exact mode compares sorted letters, so repeated-letter counts must match. Shorter mode checks whether each word can be formed from the available quantities. Results are grouped by descending length and alphabetized within groups. Both modes exclude a word identical to the cleaned input.

Privacy and limits

The widget fetches this site’s /data/enable.txt and compares letters in browser memory. The request does not contain your input word, and the component has no persistent search-history storage. Initial use still needs the dictionary download, so a loading error is not an empty search result.

Dictionary coverage and game acceptance differ. The result label reflects whether shorter words are included. Editing the input or option clears previous matches, so run another search. Empty input or text cleaned down to no English letters produces no answer and does not retain old candidates.
