Quick guide

What can UUID Generator help you do?

Free UUID v4 generator. Bulk generate (1-100), copy, remove dashes, uppercase options.

Best for

Create UUID v4 values for sample database records, API examples, or import templates that need separate identifiers. Generate up to 100 at once and choose conventional dashed text or a compact representation to match the receiving system.

How to use it

Set Count from 1 to 100, then choose No dashes or Uppercase if needed. Each setting change generates a fresh batch, as does Generate. Copy all copies every displayed identifier with a newline between entries, so save a batch before changing options.

How to read the result

Each line is one randomly generated v4 identifier. The usual representation has 32 hexadecimal digits and four dashes; No dashes removes only those separators. Uppercase changes presentation, not the identifier format or the amount of randomness used.

Privacy and limits

Generation uses crypto.randomUUID when available, otherwise crypto.getRandomValues with v4 bits set locally. The widget has no identifier upload or CDN library request. Copied identifiers can remain in clipboard history and may become sensitive once linked to real records.

Only v4 is offered, with no time-ordered or name-based mode. Random generation does not check your database for existing values or guarantee uniqueness. Keep uniqueness constraints in the receiving system, and do not treat an identifier alone as permission to access a record.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a UUID?

Universally Unique Identifier — globally unique IDs for DB primary keys, API objects, sessions.

Will they collide?

In theory v4 has 2^122 entropy — essentially never.
