Quick guide

What can Chinese Zodiac & Western Zodiac help you do?

Free zodiac lookup. Enter your birthday to see both your Chinese zodiac animal (Rat-Pig) and Western zodiac sign with personality traits.

Best for

Use this for a cultural or entertainment lookup of a Chinese zodiac animal, Western sign and preset trait descriptions from a Gregorian date. It does not request birth time or birthplace, and does not calculate rising signs, full birth charts, compatibility or forecasts.

How to use it

Choose a valid Gregorian date to run the lookup automatically, or press Query. Today fills your device local date. For a birthday, enter the full Gregorian year, month and day rather than a lunar date, particularly when the birthday falls early in the year.

How to read the result

The Chinese zodiac uses the browser Chinese-calendar year for the selected day and then a twelve-year cycle, rather than changing directly on January 1. Western signs use fixed month/day ranges, such as March 21 through April 19 for Aries. Trait descriptions are predefined text.

Privacy and limits

The widget processes the date using browser calendar support and in-page tables, without a remote birthday lookup or browser-storage write. No name or birthplace is needed. A full birthday can still identify someone, so omit the date field when sharing a result screenshot.

Fixed Western date ranges do not account for exact birth-time or astronomical boundaries, and the Chinese zodiac does not use a Start-of-Spring chart boundary. Browser Chinese-calendar support is required, and very early years have date-construction limitations. Traits are entertainment, not a reliable assessment of a person.
